9:15 – Feed the flock to increase production
Dr. Dan Morrical, Premier 1 Supplies production advisor and Retired Sheep Extension Specialist, Iowa State University will cover basic nutrient requirements, micro mineral and vitamin supplementation to promote high health, immunity and hoof integrity.

10:15 – “A year in the life”
Todd Taylor, Shepherd UW-Madison Arlington Sheep Unit, will discuss vaccination and treatment schedules associated with the UW Madison sheep unit.

11:00 - Break

11:15 – Finishing the Lamb Crop
Dr. Morrical covers feeds and finishing rations possibilities to help prevent nutritional disorders and economically finish your lamb crop!

12:15 p.m. - Adjourn morning program

9:15 - Getting the most from your Market Lamb Project!
Intended for youth sheep project members and interested parents

Mr. Mark Johnson, Purina Feeds, show lamb advisor and co-owner of A&M Ranch, registered Southdowns will give you tips on selection, feeding, health care and training of youth market lamb projects. Bring your educational cards to receive credit toward county meat animal sale requirements!!

The Public Events Facility is located east of Interstate Hwy 90 and west of State Hwy 51 approximately 14 miles north of the east side of Madison, WI.

Arriving from the south on I 90: Exit at DeForest (Hwy V). Go left (west) on Hwy V over I 90. Take first right (north) onto Hwy I. Go north on Hwy I approximately 4 miles to Hwy K. Turn right (east) onto Hwy K. Go approximately 2 miles on Hwy K and turn right (south) onto Hopkins Rd. Go approximately ½ mile to Public Events Building.

Arriving from the north on I 90: Exit at Arlington (Hwy 60). Go right (east) on Hwy 60 approximately 3.5 miles. On the west side of Arlington, turn right (south) on Hwy I and go approximately 2 miles to Hwy K. Turn left (east) onto Hwy K. Go approximately 2 miles on Hwy K and turn right (south) onto Hopkins Rd. Go approximately ½ mile to Public Events Building.
